- Dallas Police Department are currently looking for the shooter who killed an 18 year old Canterbury Crossing Apartments shortly after midnight on Monday. The police were called to a shooting at the complex, which is located in the 10000 block of Lake June Road. They found the victim, identified as Christians Heath, lies on the floor of an apartment with several gunshot wounds. Anyone who has any clues is asked to report to the police. - The first Latino cohort of the Assistant Teacher Dallas Residency Program has started its way into the classroom. The 11 future educators will be supported by the Dallas ISD Human Capital Management department on the way to becoming licensed teachers through the district’s alternative certification program. With 70 percent of district students being Hispanic, the district felt it was imperative to “increase the number of Hispanic educators to improve the representation of Latinos … and help shape student lives.” (Dallas-ISD)
