10 Texas companies score spots on Fortune’s fastest-growing companies ranking
Ten Texan companies defied the pandemic and earned places in the Fortune 2021 ranking of the 100 fastest growing companies in the country. These include four Dallas Fort Worth companies, with Plano-based home builder Green Brick Partners leading the way.
It is the third year in a row that Green Brick has appeared in the rankings. It builds homes in North Texas under five subsidiaries – CB JENI Homes, Normandy Homes, Southgate Homes, Trophy Signature Homes, and Center Living Homes – and owns a majority interest in The Providence Group in Atlanta and GHO Homes in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
The list ranks companies based on a combination of sales growth rate, earnings growth rate per share, and annualized three-year total return for the period ended June 30, 2021.
“We are incredibly proud to be recognized by Fortune as … the fastest growing public housing company in the United States,” said Jim Brickman, CEO and co-founder of Green Brick.
Green Brick climbed 36 places to 19th place overall. Only Victory Capital Holdings, based in San Antonio, ranked better among the Texan companies.
Other North Texas publicly traded companies in the rankings include mechanical engineering giant Jacobs, bank holding Veritex, and home care company Addus HomeCare.
Veritex Holdings recently acquired North Avenue Capital, a US Department of Agriculture-based lender based in Flordia, for $ 57.5 million.
