2. The newest species to invade Dallas is a gross, super-long predator worm. As if red ants and killer bees weren’t bad enough, there’s another invasive species in Texas that has crept into Dallas-Fort Worth: an extra-long worm – it can be nearly a foot long – disgusting on its own, but also predatory. It’s called the hammerhead flatworm, and the Texas Invasive Species Institute confirms they’re starting to be discovered in the Dallas area.

3. The days for Wild About Harry’s custard shop are numbered. A popular pudding shop in Dallas is closing: Wild About Harry’s, which has been a staple on Knox Street for 25 years, closes its last day on July 4th.

4. The Central Market at Preston Royal Dallas reopens with bells and whistles. As promised, Central Market Preston Royal reopened on June 30th, after a 20 month rebuilding and restoration to repair the damage caused by the tornadoes that swept through North Dallas on October 20, 2019.

5. The busy suburb of Dallas is one of the 10 most ambitious cities in America. Frisco has received some sweet recognition for its business-friendly atmosphere. A new ranking places Frisco in eighth place among the so-called “most enterprising cities in America”.
