2 new restaurants doing bowls and Mediterranean join Union Dallas team

Two new restaurants have been added to The Union Dallas, located at 2301 N. Akard St., including healthy bowls and a Mediterranean restaurant.

One is already open, the other is coming soon:

Rush bowls, the concept with all-natural food bowls made with healthy ingredients, opened in August in the Dallas Federation. Located in a 1,000 square meter space in the lobby of The Union office tower, bowls of fruit, vegetables, cereal and toppers of your choice are served.

Rush Bowls was founded in 2004 by Andrew Pudalov, who escaped the New York financial scene and gave birth to Rush in Boulder, Colorado with fruit, cereal, honey, protein, vitamins, and other nutritious ingredients.

Atypical is a new restaurant that will open in November. The publication states that it adapts to different lifestyles with an ever-evolving menu of creative dishes. It will occupy the 5,130 square meter space that was previously occupied by Kotta Sushi and offers a unique menu that reinterprets international dishes while meeting different dietary preferences.

That sounds Mediterranean. Maybe pasta with rice flour instead of wheat? Just a guess. They have a dish on their Facebook page called Asturias Fettucini that looks tempting.

The press release states that Atipico will be a quirky, social and dynamic brand that is pragmatic and adaptable to different styles, preferences and personalities, with a constantly evolving menu, but taking into account traditional, ketogenic and gluten-free appetites, among other things. Not much info about the food, but they have a motto: “Be original + Stay Different”.

Founder and Chief Atypical Officer – clever! – is Claudia de Murga, who said in a statement that the vibrant area that is within walking distance of the American Airlines Center, museums and galleries is “a great first location for Atipico in Texas, where we expect our customers to be with to inspire creative dishes and cocktails ”. . “

Other dining options already open include a Tom Thumb store, as well as The Henry, North Italia, TacoLingo, Creamistry and Royal 38. Union Dallas is located on Field Street and Cedar Springs Road, and also includes a 31-story residential tower at 309 Apartments, and a 22-story office tower.

“At The Union Dallas we are committed to creating an accessible lifestyle center with retailers that reflects the needs of the local market,” said Scott Rehorn, Managing Partner at RED Development. “RED Development works consistently with national and local retailers and we look forward to welcoming these brands to our property.”
