5 unique finds on the Lakewood/East Dallas garage sale
Vintage and second-hand goods are trendy.
Their attraction lies in several characteristics. Buying a used item is more sustainable than buying a brand new one. Sometimes they have been made using different methods or more durable materials than those used in today’s manufacturing process, which makes them durable. And of course there is aesthetic interest.
Neighbors can find many of these items in the Lakewood / East Dallas Online Garage Sale group.
Here are a few pieces on the virtual marketplace that caught our attention.
1. American Airlines aircraft beverage carts

This car was used on an airplane for years. Although it has signs of use, its wheels and roller locks still work. It has six inserts and three serving trays in different sizes. Each of the pieces bears the old airline logo.
Our neighbor will take no less than $ 600 for the cart, which is 41 “tall, 33” wide, and 12 “deep.
2. 1960s Corning Ware browning pan with lid

This tan dish features the colonial blue farmhouse pattern. It was developed for Corning’s Amana radar range.
These trays have been said to promote browning in food because the coated tin oxide in the bottom of the tray is 2 inches deep. This has two signs of wear on the handle.
It’s listed at $ 28.
3. Corning Ware baking dish

The same seller has a baking dish, also made by Corning Ware and made in the USA. It has a blue cornflower graphic on it.
The one-quart baking dish comes with a lid and is priced at $ 18.
4. Cowboy Pools Storage tank pool

This is an 8 foot stick pool from Cowboy Pools and comes with a sand pump filter and unopened accessories including a net, pool cover, chlorine tablets, temperature gauge, and more.
These pools are sturdy, easy to get in and out of, and are great for relaxing and cooling off. But our neighbor says it can be plugged into a camping heater to turn it into a hot tub.
Children who are not good swimmers can also use them as they are only 60 cm deep.
It is quoted at $ 1,500.
5. Massage table

This massage table was made by Living Earth Crafts which has been in business since 1973. The company’s website states that it uses managed and renewable wood sources from managed forests and offsets its carbon footprint through tree-planting initiatives.
It’s red and costs $ 90.
