Amarillo ISD Board of Trustees considering future bond election

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) – The Amarillo ISD Board of Trustees videoconferenced this morning to discuss the possibility of a future bond election.

They held a working session with Corgan, an architecture and design firm based in Dallas, to discuss a study of the district’s facilities.

If the Board of Trustees decides to move on with Corgan, a master plan will be drawn up for a future bond election.

This plan will address the specific needs of AISD while incorporating the community perspective by setting up a citizens’ committee as an advisory role to the board.

This will be the first step in any future bond and will help identify Amarillo ISD’s needs.
