Chefs For Farmers Food and Wine Festival Returns in Full Force With a Packed 2021 Lineup

Last years Cooks for farmers got virtual for obvious reasons, but it’s back to its real format. And the Dallas food and wine event is getting big for its 10th anniversary – really huge.

You will recognize many of the notable chefs attending the festival this year: Bruno Davaillon, John Tesar, Eric Dreyer from Monarch Restaurants, Meridian’s Junior Borges, Misti Norris from Petra and the Beast, Top Chef Alaun, and Dallas native Casey Thompson of Folktable in Sonoma and Ji Kang from Sloane’s Corner. Lots of Pitmaster pros are also there this year, like Matt Pitman from Meat Church, Arnulfo Sanchez from Vaqueros Texas Bar-BQ and Bruce Kalman (another top chef) from Soulbelly BBQ, which just opened in Las Vegas this year .

Find details on this year’s Chef’s For Farmers (CFF) events below – and grab those tickets before they go away.

Stop at McKinney Roots for a sip and bite from Chef Andrew Shackelford of Harvest Seasonal Kitchen. Then head to Lucas, where Joel Orsini from Profound Microfarm will no doubt have something delicious to snack on. The last stop is Water Boy Farms and Apiary, another Lucas farm, with Erika Radtke from Girl Flour. Tickets are $ 125.

DEVOUR Street Food Festival at The Exchange
November 6, 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

A new addition to the usual CFF program is a street-food-style festival with plenty of snacks. One ticket purchase includes unlimited food samples from 13+ restaurants (Eataly Dallas, Rise + Thyme, Monkey King Noodle, Ichi Ni San, and many more). What’s a good snack without a drink to wash it down with? Beverage stations are parked in the entire food hall and on the plaza in the city center. A live DJ ensures a flawless atmosphere. And you can even take some free salsa dancing lessons (pro tip: have a few cocktails to loosen up your hips). Tickets are $ 85.

The main event: The 10th Annual Cooks for Farmers
November 7th 3pm to 6pm (2 p.m. entry for VIPs) | Dallas Heritage Village, 1515 S. Harwood St.

The grand finale of the weekend takes place on Sunday, when the best of the best – canapés, breweries, wineries, distilleries, chefs, local farms – take over the Heritage Village. Stroll through the park and make pit stops at the Rosé Garden, Tailgate Par-TAY, and the Go Texan Area. VIP guests can sit back and relax in The Retreat (a nice change from the intricate all-you-eat meal), where there are luxurious cocktails and exclusive snacks from our external chefs. Texas Monthly Taco editor José R. Ralat will be signing copies of his book American Tacos: A History and Guide for Mastercard Holders. Tickets start at $ 125 ($ 195 VIP).
