Arlington Police say they made an arrest earlier this month in connection with a fatal hit and run accident that killed a father of three who made extra money delivering groceries for DoorDash.
Police say evidence gathered at the scene and an anonymous tip from Crime Stoppers sparked by local media coverage of the case helped investigators identify 42-year-old Charlton Harris as the suspect in driving a Toyota Camry Has approached speed He killed the driver, 39-year-old Douglas Oseimo.
Arlington detectives assigned to the US Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force located Harris at a Grand Prairie motel Thursday night and took him into custody without incident.
“We are grateful for the community involvement and advice received,” said Arlington Police Chief Al Jones. “Often times we need public help to resolve such cases and that is exactly what happened in this case.”

Oseimo was a mechanic from Kenya who emigrated to the United States about eight years ago, his family said.
“I try to comfort my children, but my mind, my heart is still crying,” said his wife Jackline Moraba. “It’s so painful.”
His nine-year-old daughter wanted to share her memories and spoke with her mother’s permission.
“He took us to places I never knew. He showed me what McDonalds was when we recently came to America,” said Beatrice Ogwoka. “He was a really hard worker. He worked so hard that me and my siblings can have anything we want.”
His daughter said she only had fond memories.
“He was really special,” she said. “He was nice.”
Oseimo’s uncle Jeremiah Manduku said Oseimo, an avid Seventh-day Adventist, never missed a church day.
“I have a feeling justice will be done to Douglas. It is unfair for anyone to do such a thing and run away,” said Manduku.
Harris, held in Tarrant County Jail, has been charged with murder, accidental death, and public drunkenness.
