The judges were inspired by over 10,000 submissions from five categories including: Activities, Wildlife, Family & Friends, Camping, and Landscape & Seasons. Eligible entries were judged based on originality, artistic composition, technical quality, and whether or not the photo depicts the best camping and outdoor activities in America’s state parks.
The grand prize winning photo was submitted by Dean Schumacher and featured a colorful fall walk in Tishomingo State Park, Mississippi. He won this year’s Aspira Ultimate Grand Prize Package, which includes annual Apex Club membership and $ 2,500 worth of camping and recreational equipment. Each of the five Honorable Mention winners received a $ 500 REI Gift Card.
