The Rover Dramawerks kosher Lutherans at the Cox Building Playhouse
For parents-to-be who want a baby, there isn’t much they won’t do to make it a reality. In William Missouri Downs’ kosher Lutherans, it means pretending to be Lutheran to appeal to a pregnant Midwestern girl who wants to give them hers. Kosher … Lutherans. To the right. You’re Jewish and have some reservations about lying, but want this baby too. But there is also this kosher part. Rover Dramawerks brings the comedic timing Thursday through Saturday, November 20, with an additional Saturday matinee at 3 p.m. Tickets cost $ 15 to $ 18 and are available online.

Hamilton at the Music Hall in Fair Park
At this point we don’t need to say much to bring Hamilton, the musical by Lin-Manuel Miranda based on the biography of Ron Chernow, closer to the world. But just in case: it has rap, singing, dance, period costumes and modern sensibilities. It’s the story of the nationalist Alexander Hamilton, but it had a cultural moment of its own. Dallas Summer Musicals brings it to the Music Hall in Fair Park. See it 1:30 p.m. or 7:30 p.m. Sunday November 21 or many other times between now and December 5. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster.

Sweetpea at the Second Thought Theater
There is one thing when people with pets fall in love and move in together. It’s one thing that everyone who knows them, who also has pets, says, “What if the pets hate each other? What if they like each other and then people break up? How much space do you need for the four? ”And so on. If you’re a pet, these are the thoughts you will have when you start reading about Second Thought Theater (3400 Blackburn St.) and its newest version, Sweetpea. Two people, two birds. Oh shit. It opens this weekend, but there is an amazing Pay What You Can performance on Monday November 22nd at 7:30 p.m. Get all the details for other seasons and buy tickets through Second Thought.
