DALLAS, Oct 13, 2021 / PRNewswire / – Experienced commercial litigation attorney Brian Shaw and litigation attorney for intellectual property Dr. Chad Ray have joined Carrington, Coleman, Sloman & Blumenthal LLP as partners and have further developed the firm’s considerable strengths in these areas.

Mr. Shaw has successfully reviewed high-profile, high-level lawsuits and arbitrations relating to partnership disputes, shareholders’ rights, divorce and litigation relating to contracts, oil and gas, employment, insurance, construction, inheritance, bankruptcy and other corporate law matters. He has also served as lead counsel in state and federal appeals courts. His work in business processes was recognized in the Texas Super Lawyers 2021 Legal Handbook. As a litigation attorney and registered patent attorney, Dr. Ray on patent litigation involving drugs, medical devices, biologics, electronics, chemicals and automotive components in court and before the US Patent Trial and Appeal Board. He has a Bachelor and a Ph.D. Degree in chemistry. Dr. Ray’s experience as a researcher gave him broad technical expertise as he developed scientific instruments for the study of chemical and biological materials by repurposing the tools of nanotechnology. He studied law in 2011 at the University of Michigan Faculty of Law. He comes to Carrington from the Dallas Munck Wilson Mandala, LLP, and was previously at the office of Chicago Jenner & Block, LLP office.
