Last week we reported about another barbecue and we can’t stop dreaming about this crate of smoked meat.

Celina town is getting all the fun things lately. A day after we learned that it is now the Halloween capital of Texas, we learn that there is also a huge barbecue and music event going on this fall, the Troubadour Fest.
According to a statement by the organizers, the Troubadour Fest will “bring together the largest number of grill restaurants serving this capacity in the state.” The event, held at Old Celina Park, is led by top Texas country bands, Pat Green and Josh Abbott Band. Other well-known names include Stoney LaRue, Cody Canada, and The Departed, and Kyle Nix & The .38s.
The festival was put together by Double Tap Media, a shop based in McKinney. Co-founder and promoter Chase Colston has been organizing concerts and festivals for more than half a decade and most recently launched the Red Dirt BBQ Fest.
With a résumé like his, this day is set for greatness. There will also be many DFW favorites and other smokers from all over Texas. (See the full list at the end of this post.)
