ClubCorp names Jim Berra Chief Marketing and Innovation
DALLAS, Nov. 18, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) – ClubCorp today announced that Jim Berra has joined World Leader in Private Clubs® as Chief Marketing & Innovation Officer to promote ClubCorp’s marketing and innovation efforts through its unmatched portfolio of private clubs to lead away. In this newly created role, Berra will oversee the full range of marketing functions including branding strategy, communications, social and digital media, web development, consumer information and product innovation. Berra will lead the team responsible for further enhancing and showcasing the company’s portfolio of world class private clubs while highlighting the ClubLife experience and impact of ClubCorp properties in the communities they call home.

Berra is joining ClubCorp from Royal Caribbean International. He joined in 2015 as SVP and Chief Marketing Officer and oversaw all advertising programs, marketing communications, social media and customer marketing of the company. He also led Royal Caribbean’s digital endeavors, including audience and website development. Prior to joining Royal Caribbean, Berra was Chief Marketing Officer at Carnival Cruise Lines for seven years. Prior to that, Berra spent three years at Rodale, Inc., a global media publishing company, and seven years at Starwood Hotels & Resorts in various marketing management positions, including SVP of Customer Marketing and Strategic Alliances. Berra is based in Miami Beach, Florida and holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and philosophy from Northwestern University.
