Healthy Lifestyle Restaurant posts record sales after market expansion and continued strong off-premise performance
July 30, 2021 // Franchising.com // DALLAS – Coolgreens’ fresh food revolution gains impressive momentum as the brand posted record-breaking sales and rapid growth in the second quarter.
By the second quarter, the healthy lifestyle restaurant had sales approaching total sales for 2019. Compared to the second quarter of 2019, Coolgreens increased sales by 79%. Within its sales in the second quarter of 2021, Coolgreens broke five weekly sales records for a total of 22 individual record weeks.
After expanding its presence in Dallas-Fort Worth and launching the brand in Omaha in 2020, Coolgreens enjoyed success in both new markets and its established Oklahoma City and Tulsa markets. While dine-in sales are up 45% compared to the first quarter, sales outside of Coolgreens remain the channel of choice for consumers and remain steadfast for several quarters.
In addition, the brand expanded its DFW presence by introducing Coolgreens Market – smart refrigerators that provide a quick, affordable, and delicious way to enjoy healthy groceries on the go – at DFW International Airport. The state-of-the-art business model, optimizing the technology, contributed to Coolgreens’ success in the second quarter by engaging travel-conscious consumers with fresh, nutritious and practical options.
