Texas unemployment claims are at their lowest pandemic level ever, reports KERA. The unemployment rate in Texas has dropped to 5.4 percent. Last week, 14,790 Texans filed for the first time, about 8% fewer than the previous week. The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas predicts that Texas will restore jobs lost during the pandemic in the first half of next year.
