Crescent Real Estate kicks off $250 million Fort Worth development
Best known for its striking properties in the uptown neighborhood of Dallas, Crescent Real Estate broke ground for the largest new development in Fort Worth’s cultural district.
The Museum Place project is located west of downtown on Camp Bowie Boulevard near the Will Rogers Coliseum and across from the Kimbell Art Museum and Modern Art Museum.
“We are honored to be laying the foundations for the future Fort Worth living room,” said John Goff, chairman of Crescent, in a statement. “Located in the heart of our cultural district and its first-class museums, there is no better place in town.
“I founded Crescent in Fort Worth almost 30 years ago and it is time to give back to the city we love.”
The mixed-use development, construction of which began Monday, will include a 200-room luxury hotel, 170,000-square-foot office building and 170 luxury residential units.
Crescent Real Estate will move its headquarters to the project.
Denver-based OZ Architecture designed the development, which is set to open in 2023.
Crescent Real Estate, which started in the mid-1990s, has already invested in Fort Worth real estate.
The real estate company also owns the Uptown Dallas landmark Crescent complex and developed the McKinney & Olive office and retail project on McKinney Avenue and the Luminary office building in the historic West End of downtown Dallas.
The Museum Place project will include a 200-room boutique hotel.(Half moon real estate)
