Crunchy & Green opens its second Dallas location at 6333 East Mockingbird Lane, # 165 with a selection of salads, cereal bowls and smoothies. Franchisee Blake Graves said in a statement that the location near the White Rock area was a breeze as it will be able to provide a healthy, fast-casual option for lake visitors. They debuted in Dallas at Snider Plaza in January and have plans for more than 15 locations in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. The brand is headquartered in Minnesota, where it launched in 2016, and has locations in Minnesota, Texas, and South Dakota. We’re only one of three, yay us.
Oak Rock Bread Co. is a new cottage bakery run by husband and wife Tyler and Chayanne Rooney who, according to the lawyer, make breads, baguettes, croissants and other pastries from their Oak Cliff home, using fancy wheat from Barton Springs Mill and ground in oak rock. You can get sourdough and rye bread for $ 8, baguettes for $ 5, and croissants for $ 4, for pickup from the porch or on-site on Fridays, or at the Dallas Farmers Market on Sundays.
Neighborhood basement, the Bishop Arts wine shop, has brought back its full menu, wine club, and new natural wine flight. The Wine 101 classes are also returning, where 20 guests can learn about wine and enjoy four types of wine along with snacks from Fount Board & Table for $ 35. A class on August 12 will include rosé and a class on August 28 will include natural wine.
City Works Eatery and Pour House Frisco and Fort Worth have a range of new dishes and cocktails including: Duck Nachos, Ahi Tuna Chopped Salad, BLTE with Scrambled Eggs, Bacon, Sausage, Smoked Cheddar in a Crunchy Flour Tortilla, Chimichurri with Bacon, Arugula, Tomato and Egg, and a S’mores dip dessert. New cocktails include Negroni, Scotch Old Fashioned, and Golden Honey Margarita.
Corner bakery has partnered with Avocados From Mexico to offer menus of avocado, including Anaheim Panini, Turkey Avocado Cobb Salad, and Uptown Turkey Avocado Sandwich. Customers can also just go nuts and add half an avocado to each menu item for $ 1.
Tropical smoothie cafe has launched a new line of Poolside Quesadillas for the summer: BBQ Shrimp Quesadilla offers BBQ shrimp, queso blanco, cheddar and smoked cheese mix, pineapple salsa and pickled jalapenos in a flour tortilla, served with BBQ ranch. Jerk Chicken Quesadilla consists of grilled chicken, queso blanco, cheddar and smoked cheese, pineapple salsa, black beans, red pepper and jerk sauce in a flour tortilla, served with jerk ranch. BLT quesadilla consists of bacon, queso blanco, cheddar and smoked cheese, tomatoes and shredded lettuce in a flour tortilla, served with salsa ranch. The menu is available until August 31st.
Wing boss, Dickey’s Ghost kitchen concept, has a new sauce: Dr Pepper Barbecue Sauce, a sweet, smoky sauce inspired by the legendary flavored soft drink.
Twin peaks has released a new beer called Twin Peaks Light. Brewed at the Twin Peaks Brewery Co. in Irving, this clean and crisp American beer is intended for those who want a lighter, lower-alcohol brew: 105 calories and five carbohydrates per 12-ounce brew. It joins her three other beers: Dirty Blonde, Knotty Brunette, and Drop Dead Redhead.
MC Donalds has teamed up with platinum hip hop artist Saweetie to offer a special meal starting August 9th. The meal includes a Big Mac, 4-Piece Chicken McNuggets, Medium French Fries, Medium Sprite, BBQ Sauce, and Sweet ‘N Sour Sauce. Saweetie is the newest chart top artist to feature on McDonald’s menu since the Famous Orders program launched last year. Like many fans who have their own menu hacks, their combinations add a creative twist to McDonald’s iconic food.

Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas in Las Colinas has a new head confectioner: Yudith Bustos. Bustos is originally from Costa Rica and joined the Four Seasons family in 2008 as Pastry Chef de Partie at the Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica on the Papagayo Peninsula. She joined the Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC as Executive Assistant Pastry Chef in 2013 and continued honing her craft as she worked her way up to Executive Pastry Chef in 2018. Her insistence on perfection and wild creativity provided an opportunity to share her expertise and work with colleagues at Four Seasons hotels in Nevis, Dallas and Paris.
Starbucks donated $ 1.7 million to Feeding America to promote equitable access to nutritious food for BIPOC and underserved communities. These grants will be distributed to 16 Feeding America food banks in the US that have Starbucks Community Stores, including the North Texas Food Bank.
