Dallas bar restricts ‘All I Want for Christmas’ on jukebox
A Dallas bar may have landed on the social media list of naughty media after telling diners that it will limit the number of times Mariah Carey’s famous “All I Want for Christmas” can be played on her jukebox.
Stoneleigh P., a Dallas bar and grill, caught internet attention after a photo of their jukebox sign went viral for telling guests that Carey’s favorite Christmas hit no more than once a night and never before during the holiday season would be played Dec 1st – if selected, it will be skipped.

“We have put up a sign with these words on it for the past three years. It’s an inside joke among our staff and regulars who play Christmas carols too early in the year, ”said Laura Garrison, General Manager of Stoneleigh P.
That year in September, the bartenders began hearing the song’s tell-tale opening notes.
Garrison said that since her sign went viral, she has received rude calls and bad reviews from people who have never been to her bar.
Meanwhile, the bar has tons of pranksters playing the song just to see if the bartenders skip it, and the whole bar laughs when the staff keeps their word.
The viral photo even caught the attention of the unofficial Christmas queen herself. After a Twitter user asked if the jukebox photo was “the Christmas war I heard about?” Carey tweeted it with just a photo of her in riot gear.

“I grew up with her personally so this is really cool thanks internet,” said Garrison, who hoped the excitement would get Carey to visit her bar.
And the staff at Stoneleigh P. didn’t particularly highlight Carey; Similar rules apply to a handful of songs that bartenders skip, usually out of anger or repetition, Garrison said. Even Garrison’s favorite “Blue Christmas” by Elvis Presley is skipped if it is played more than twice in a few hours.
Stoneleigh P. has at least two song repeaters: an everyday regular and Garrison’s best friend.
“We’re lucky enough to have a remote control and a skip button,” said Garrison. “Otherwise we would pull our hair out every layer.”
