Dallas-Fort Worth faces a week of possible scattered showers and storms

North Texas is well into summer now, but temperatures are below average – and this week could bring more stormy weather.

The outlook for showers and storms began on Monday, but the odds were mostly in areas south and west of Dallas-Fort Worth, KXAS-TV (NBC5) chief meteorologist Rick Mitchell said on Twitter.

North Texas will have the daily opportunity to experience isolated or isolated showers and storms for the remainder of this week, the National Weather Service forecast. But even here, the best odds are elsewhere – in this case in central Texas.

For Dallas-Fort Worth, Wednesday and Thursday will have the highest storm chances. KXAS puts the probability of rain on both days at 30%. Isolated storms can also occur in North Texas at the weekend.

The high temperatures this week will be in the low 90s, which is lower than normal. This week last year, the highs were from the high 80s to the mid 90s, according to the National Weather Service.
