Dallas Paramedic Who Kicked Homeless Man in Face Is Canned
A Dallas medic who competed as a mixed martial arts fighter was fired after a new video surfaced of kicking an unarmed homeless, mentally ill man at least nine times, the Dallas Morning News reported. Police initially cleared Brad Cox of wrongdoing, despite a bodycam video showing him kicking Kyle Vess once in the face while he was being held on suspicion of lighting a grass fire. A second video showed a prolonged attack in which Vess had a broken eye socket, broken sinuses and broken teeth. Vess has sued Cox and the city, demanding that the medic be charged.
