Dallas police make arrest in fatal beating in north Oak Cliff

A 22-year-old man was arrested last week in connection with a fatal beating in north Oak Cliff, Dallas police said.

William Adolph Sandoval was admitted to Dallas County Jail for murder early Saturday. His bail was set at $ 501,000. It was unclear if he had a lawyer.

The officers were called to 500 block on Griffith Avenue near West Clarendon Drive and South Adams Avenue at around 12:30 p.m. June 9, and found Ashley Uresti, 32, with blunt trauma. According to an incident report, the victim had a puffy, bloody face.

According to police, Uresti died from the injuries on Tuesday.

The authorities did not provide any information about the background to the murder.
