Dallas’ rewardStyle, a pioneer in influencer technology, changes its name
RewardStyle, the Dallas-based company that pioneered influencer commerce technology, is changing its name to LTK.
Ten years after awardStyle was founded in an apartment at Mockingbird Station, its LikeToKnowIt platform connects more than 100,000 influencers around the world and sends customers to 5,000 brands.
The simpler name is one that employees and influencers are already using for short, said co-founder and president Amber Venz Box. RewardStyle is the business-to-business part of the company, and the LikeToKnowIt app was added as a consumer product in 2014.
“It was confusing, and now that we are celebrating our 10th anniversary, we want to simplify the name to what our customers call us,” said Venz Box, who at the age of 34 recently became dean for social media entrepreneurs from Town & Country was appointed magazine.
The rebranding is effective immediately and will be rolled out in international markets including the UK, Germany, France, Australia, China, South Korea and Brazil. The LTK app will be localized for regional brands and influencers in these countries this year.
Amber Venz Box is the co-founder and president of LTK, formerly known as Reward Style.
“We have invested in world-class talent in the last six months and hired more than 100 new employees in 2021 alone,” said Venz Box.
The company employs more than 350 people and is once again focusing on “innovation and speed,” she said. LTK develops new technologies and features for its influencer-powered online shopping experience.
Social media stars from fashion, beauty, fitness, home and lifestyle monetize the content and recommendations that they submit via the LTK platform.
In the past 12 months, LTK-affiliated influencers have sent $ 2.8 billion in sales to retailers and brands. The industry is growing as retailers and brands look for ways to connect with customers. Apparel retailer Express recently announced it would generate $ 1 billion in annual revenue from influencers by 2024.
Hundreds of thousands of people apply to be influencers on the LTK app every year, but the company has to meet tough requirements, including social media performance and creative skills. LTK enables individuals to do business across the social ecosystem, from Pinterest and TikTok to Instagram or their own blog. Much like Shopify, which allows small businesses to set up storefronts online, it’s a turnkey store for people who would otherwise have difficulty engaging in e-commerce.
“We have people who make generational fortunes,” said Venz Box. LTK has created more than 100 millionaires, with 20 added last year.
Venz Box calls the people who use the LTK tools “solo preneurs”. The 2009 graduate of Southern Methodist University, who won a Distinguished Alumni Award last year, started out as a fashion blogger herself.
She wanted to become an editor for fashion magazines. Instead, it created a whole new venue that rivals fashion magazines.
