Developer Crow sets early next year start for Uptown Dallas tower
Developer Trammell Crow Co. plans to start work on its new Uptown Dallas office tower early next year.
The 27-story skyscraper is planned on the corner of McKinney and Maple Avenues across from the Crescent. Trulucks Restaurant and Gold’s Gym are now located on more than 2 hectares.
Crow Co. has been working on the project for more than a year – one of the largest at the Dallas facility.
The developer hopes to start construction on the 750,000 square meter project in February, according to the planning documents submitted to the state.
The 2401 McKinney project will cost $ 200 million and was designed by Connecticut-based Dallas architects HKS and Pickard Chilton.
670,000 square meters of office space, 15,000 square meters of retail space and an underground car park are planned.
The building will take more than two years to complete.
The Crow Co. tower is one of the largest slated for Uptown. Dallas granted planning approvals for the project earlier this year.
