DFW Airport Ready To Welcome More Than 2 Million Travelers This Thanksgiving Holiday – CBS Dallas / Fort Worth

NORTH TEXAS (CBSDFW.COM) – Dallas Fort Worth International Airport officials say they are ready to serve more than 2.3 million customers between Nov. 18-29.

The numbers represent an increase of nearly 70% over the same period last year and represent about 95% of the volume in 2019 before the COVID-19 pandemic.

With the increase in air travel, customers are encouraged to use the following travel tips to ensure they are safe to travel through DFW Airport.

  • Plan ahead and arrive early. Holidays are always a busy time at DFW Airport and customers should plan to arrive early to have enough time to navigate through security and to their gate. It is recommended that customers arrive no later than 2 hours before a domestic flight or 3 hours before an international flight.
  • Download the DFW Airport Mobile App – (to the iOS and Android Devices). The mobile app offers customers the information they need to make the most of their time at DFW Airport. Customers can see the current waiting times at each security checkpoint in the five terminals of DFW Airport.
  • Take a look at all the parking options at DFW Airport. Customers can choose between valet, terminal and express parking options. If the first parking space at the terminal is not available to a customer, the DFW guest assistance directs them to the next available parking space. Customers who have booked their holiday parking space in advance via the prepaid parking website of the DFW can change or cancel their parking space reservation with a notice of 1 hour before the start of the journey. Customers can reach all terminals via Terminal Link Shuttles and Skylink. Terminal link shuttles are marked on the roadside and Skylink can be entered once through security. The average travel time between the terminals is 2 to 3 minutes.
