Filled With Music, Wine, and the Best in Dallas Cuisine, Chefs for Farmers Celebrated Its Biggest Year Yet

The main objective of the event is to showcase the dynamic talents of the Dallas chefs, artisans and farmers who enable exceptional, seasonal and sustainable food. Another goal of the event is to raise funds for Trigger’s Toys. This year the organizers raised a record $ 100,000.

The scene was filled with Dallas adults living their best lives. Children were likely pawned with friends for the afternoon or a sitter was called in. These people ate, drank, and on occasion aggressively swayed their hips to the sounds of the Beastie Boys and Beyonce (DJ Yuna was at the turntables all day).

In fact, I had a moment behind one of the pavilions and saw a group of cooks at a grill, holding their arms in the air for House of Pains “Jump Around”. If only I could have captured this on video and loaded my very first TikTok (#chefsgonewild).

CF224 Chefs For Farmers Main Event raised $ 100,000 for Trigger’s Toys, a record number for organizers (photography by Georgia Fiala).

Participants ate and drank their way through the winding paths of the village and enjoyed over 130 food and drink stalls. Matt Pittman (Grilling in the meat church) won the People’s Choice Best Dish Award for its fan-favorite beef rib tacos with truffle and horseradish cream. In the VIP area of Celebrity Cruises (called “The Retreat”), outstanding chefs offered exclusive snacks such as Christian Dortchs (Georgie by Curtis Stone) grilled clam escargots and deer skewers; Bruno Davaillons (On Knox) Duck rillettes Agnolotti; Casey Thompsons (Folktable restaurant) Lobster duck fat corn dogs, which were another crowd-pleaser; John Tesars (Knife Steakhouse) Happy Hollow Beef Ribs on the Bone; and Giorgio Rapicavolis (Luca Osteria) Chicken Fried Steak Tartare.
