Former Dallas Cowboys running back Emmitt Smith put his custom home on the market for $2.2 million

Have you ever wondered how a Hall of Famer lives? Here is your chance to see for yourself. Former Dallas Cowboys running back and Pro Football Hall of Fame member Emmitt Smith has launched his custom home.

The 10,806 square foot home has five bedrooms, five bathrooms, and four half baths. It is located on 0.93 acres at 15001 Winnwood Road in Far North Dallas. The house has lots of entertaining spaces, a large 22-seat dining room (the same as Smith’s Cowboys number), and a large media room. The game room is spacious with a kitchen area and NFL-style flooring.

Smith talked about why he enjoyed living there.

“One of my favorite things about the house is that it’s perfect for entertainment,” Smith said in a statement. “With a large dining table that seats 22, a media room, and a large game room, this home is ready for the new owners to create their own memories with friends and loved ones.”

The house was custom built in 1995 and Douglas Elliman Real Estate realtor Arthur Greenstein says it was designed for a family.

“The house was designed by one man with a family in mind,” said Greenstein. “All aspects of the design have been given really careful thought about what the future of someone’s life there might be like.”

The master suite is on the first floor and the bathroom has two toilets, a whirlpool tub, a multi-jet shower and three closets. Another bedroom, a guest room, is on the first level. The remaining three bedrooms are on the second level. One of the upstairs bedrooms is a second full master suite with a large bathroom and fireplace.

You will also find two offices, two living rooms, a kitchen with space for a breakfast table and a garage for four cars. Outside, the house has a pool and outdoor entertainment areas. The entire property is fenced off for privacy reasons, Greenstein said.

Smith promised to have dinner with whoever buys the house, according to Douglas Elliman Texas.

The house is on the market for $ 2.2 million – another nod to Smith’s former uniform number.
