The Gospel Tabernacle and Sonlight Outreach Center held a food raffle at Bloch Park last week held

Several vehicles drove into the park and picked up boxes of frozen chicken, vegetables, onions, yogurt and various fruits.

Gospel Tabernacle Pastor John E. Grayson distributed several crates of groceries to residents in Selma and Dallas Counties.

“We serve because we care, we care because you are family,” said Pastor Grayson.

The cleaning service from LeMarkus A. Snow of Snow was one of those who helped with the food raffle at Bloch Park.

“I feel so blessed and privileged to stand next to Pastor Grayson every week as he shows his love for Queen City,” said Snow.

Several Selma residents expressed their appreciation for Pastor Grayson on social media.

“Pastor Grayson is a pastor with a heart of service and caring,” said Sarah Wilbourne Wagoner of Selma. “We can literally see the fruits of his service.”

Kathy Smith, a member of Northside Baptist Church, commended Pastor Grayson for his charitable work.

“You are truly amazing and filled with the true meaning of love like Jesus, ”said Smith. “We love and appreciate you and your precious family. A nice blessing for our community for their bellies to their soul. “
