Grand Prairie is hosting an ‘epic’ campout. Here’s how to join

If your idea of ​​fall fun is camping, watching creepy movies, and doing s’mores, grab your tent and head to Grand Prairie.

The city is hosting a huge “Epic Campout” in Epic Central development on October 23rd.

To participate, campers must register by Friday, October 15th.

The campout includes a tent decorating contest, games, marshmallow roasting, and demonstrations of Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed and Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone.

Registration costs USD 10 per person and children 2 and under are free. A limited number of tents are rented for an additional $ 20 each.

Campers can bring their own food or buy groceries from food trucks. Breakfast is served the next morning. No propane barbecues or open fires are allowed.

According to the organizers, participants should bring warm blankets, insect repellent, tent decoration accessories, a cart to carry accessories, a flashlight and fishing equipment. Pets, glass containers and alcohol are not allowed.

The campout starts on October 23rd at 4pm and ends on October 24th at 9am.
