Hot start for Dallas Cowboys boosting business at Abilene restaurant | KTAB
ABILENE, Texas (KTAB / KRBC) – The Dallas Cowboys have not started a season with a 4-1 record since 2016 and have not won four times in a row since 2018.
The 2021 Dallas Cowboys have done both this season, and big country sports bars and restaurants are reaping the benefits.
Mulligans is one of many to see a boom in business as the ‘Boys’ continue their triumphant advance.
Owner and longtime Cowboys fan Jack King said that Cowboys fans had lost interest in previous seasons because of mediocre play, but cited this season a difference between day and night.
King said fans will be flocking to see America’s team on the 15 TVs on the bar walls on Sunday afternoon.
Promoting three additional employees is one way that King eases the workload, but said he wouldn’t want it any other way.
He called the atmosphere “exuberant” and “in a completely different place”. King said it will get so loud inside that he could be in a completely different room knowing when the cowboys score when the fans break out.
He said he had high hopes for the remainder of the season for the Cowboys and predicted they will take a deep run in the playoffs.
