Inside the Home Where Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani Secretly Tied the Knot
The date was kept under lock and key, the location even more secretive. But fans and family alike were excited for Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani – who met on the set of The Voice in 2014 – to finally get official on Independence Day weekend.
Images are still seeping through, but all signs of the wedding point to a sprawling 1,300-acre ranch near Tishomingo (population 3,071) in Shelton’s home state, Oklahoma, which he bought more than a decade ago. The couple reportedly planned and built the property with the intent of getting married there and were just moving in.

Aerial photographs show a house with four chimneys and a metal roof with a large porch, a two-story stone garage, a pergola on the second floor, dormer windows on the third floor, and manicured gardens in the background that lead to a pool. The house – an estimated 15,000 square feet – is decidedly southern with a Victorian flair. The entire property faces a paparazzi-free lake.
Photos posted on AD100 interior designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard’s Instagram feed on May 26th were headed “Oklahoma” and “Special Delivery Oklahoma Style!” leaked to the press by the famous BackGrid photo agency. The first comment comes from Blume Architecture and says: “Loved the collaboration!”
Blume Architecture is a Dallas-based design-build company led by Christy Blumenfeld, who graduated from Tulane and started her own business in 2003. Her website states that she recently completed a house in Oklahoma. The high-end boutique company typically designs future-proof, classically designed single-family homes that are largely inspired by the historical models of the home region.
Judging by Blumenfeld’s portfolio – not to mention Bullard’s interior shot on the 19th giving the back of the house great symmetry. The house is positioned in such a way that it optimizes the great southern sky and offers Stefani’s three sons a lot of leeway, such as the pool with a view of the lake, which Blume Architecture has on its own Instagram page with the heading “Summer sunset on a special ranch” posted.
The story goes on
The mixture of two different architectural styles reflects this couple that attracts: a couple that is a little bit country, a little bit rock’n’roll.
