In this video perspective, endocrinologist Daniel Einhorn, MD, FACP, FACE, discusses the influence of lifestyle as risk factors for patients with prediabetes and diabetes.
Unicorn, President of Diabetes and Endocrine Associates and Medical Director of the Scripps Whittier Diabetes Institute in San Diego, summarized his presentation at the workshop Evolving Concepts in the Management of Diabetes and Cardiorenal Metabolic Diseases, held June 18-19 in Dallas.
“Lifestyle is not an afterthought or something in the background,” Einhorn told Healio, noting that changing a bad habit like smoking “equates to almost any unhealthy thing you can do because it’s so bad for you.”
