Luke Combs To Perform At Thanksgiving Halftime

FRISCO, Texas – Multiplatin artist and CMA entertainer of the year 2021 Luke Combs will perform live at AT&T Stadium for the nationally televised halftime show of the Dallas Cowboys game on CBS against the Las Vegas Raiders on Thanksgiving Day. Combs made the announcement last night during a national touring appearance at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.

His appearance will mark 25 years of the Cowboy and Salvation Army tradition, which is a call to the American public to rally in support of the iconic Red Kettle campaign, now in its 131st year. The Salvation Army calls the 2021 campaign the most important yet, as the organization will provide Christmas gifts, groceries, shelter, rent and utility support to millions of people struggling to keep a roof over their heads this Christmas season due to pandemic poverty .

“Considering I’m a huge soccer fan, the Dallas Cowboys were always on TV on Thanksgiving Day growing up, so it’s a great honor to be part of their 25th,” said Luke Combs. “I’m used to it. The Salvation Army has launched its holiday fundraiser for the second year running to ensure hope continues for millions to tackle the long-term effects of pandemic poverty. More than 4.6 million people could face eviction and homelessness, while millions face the daily challenge of getting groceries on the table and paying bills like electricity, water, rent and mortgages.

The Red Kettle Campaign is the largest, longest-running fundraiser of its kind. The funds raised in 2020 supported services for more than 30 million Americans. Like many of its corporate and foundation partners, the country’s largest private social services provider hasn’t stopped offering help and hope since the pandemic began – no matter how much it costs. This year, the Salvation Army estimates it will need $ 175 million – nearly 50% more than was raised in red cauldrons in 2020 – to keep Americans in their homes this Christmas season and beyond.
