She reiterated that working with a well-connected realtor who knows what is on the market and what is on offer outside of the market is often critical to finding a home.

In East Dallas, the desire for new home buyers from outside of the state is fueling home sales, Agent Cliff Kessler said.

“We believe this market will continue to grow for a while as there are still buyers ready to jump into the next active property,” he said. “A lot of renovations are taking place and the land value has also risen. What a great market to be part of. “

Meanwhile, homes in Westlake and neighboring communities in northeast Tarrant County are often under contract in hours or days at the most.

“There is still a shortage of inventory in Westlake,” said Susan Mathews, a neighborhood expert who works in the luxury agent’s office in Southlake. “Buyers moving to the area are looking for great schools and golf course communities.”
