Makeready Expands Executive Leadership Team
Makeready, a hospitality and retail operator and management company headquartered in Dallas, has announced four new board members

With more than 35 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Ted Arps joins Makeready as Chief Investment Management and Development Officer. With a focus on adding value, innovating, improving, ROI projects, and accelerating growth and acquisitions, Arps will fuel Makeready’s commitment to thoughtful, immersive dining experiences and programs.
Gary Thomas joins Makeready as the new Senior Vice President of Hotel Operations. Based in Charleston, Thomas will lead six luxury lifestyle hotels in his new position, drawing on his previous positions in general management and senior operations at Morgans Hotel Group and sbe Hotels.
Joined Makeready’s Dallas office, Marcia Murphy assumes the title of Corporate Director of Commercial Strategy. Murphy previously spent the last 20 years in the Los Angeles hospitality scene and will work with revenue management, digital strategy, marketing and sales teams to develop and implement optimization strategies for the most profitable revenue streams.
Finally, chef Charles Olalia has been named Corporate Director of Culinary for Makeready. The new role will mandate Olalia to create thoughtful and accessible F&B experiences for the entire Makeready brand while mentoring and empowering future leaders.
