Mesquite’s alcohol sales are up 41% since Texas reopened. Here’s where people spent the most
Mesquite bars and restaurants reported more than $ 1.6 million in alcohol sales in May.
In February – before Governor Greg Abbott ended the statewide mask mandate and reopened shops and bars – local bars and restaurants reported alcohol sales of around $ 1.17 million, up 41% above that mark in May.
Alcohol sales in May were lower than in the previous two months. In March and April, residents and visitors totaled approximately $ 1.84 million and $ 1.7 million on beverage revenues.
