Michael Gene “Seags” Seager, 51, from Rome, died on Friday, August 27, 2021, of natural causes in Rome.
He was born in Rome to Richard and Jaqueline Genovese Seager. His mother died on August 5, 1973. Mike graduated from Oriskany High School in 1988 and attended college in Dallas, Texas. For years he had several jobs in the restaurant business in the DFW area and was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys.
Mike is survived by his daughter Cortland; his father, Rich; Sister Michelle and Craig Eberley and two nephews, Zachary and Tyler Eberley, from Florida. Aside from his family, Mike had true dear friends who loved him, including his family, David and Cindy Domenico and his family, Michael Dayhuff, Patrick Hemming, and brothers Brian and Craig Parfitt from Sarasota, Florida. Mike is loved and missed by many.
Mike loved his daughter and was proud of her accomplishments in life. He had a passion for bad music, good food, old rap song lyrics and making people laugh. He was always kind, compassionate, generous, and HAPPY. Mike would help a complete stranger and never judge anyone.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at St. John’s Cemetery, Lower East Dominick Street, Rome.
The funeral provision was given to the Bottini Funeral Home, 120 W. Embargo St.
