Mitsui Fudosan America’s 527 Madison Avenue Announces Gary Petersen Art Exhibition | News
NEW YORK, July 8, 2021 / PRNewswire-PRWeb / – Mitsui Fudosan America, Inc. (MFA) is pleased to host an exhibition of six paintings by Gary Petersen into the Lobby Gallery at 527 Madison Avenue November 19, 2021. The show is located on 54th Street and Madison Avenue and is open to the public 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday.
Celebrated for his harsh geometric abstractions, Petersen says that his work is not about a “pure or reductive ideology”, but about “the problems of our current predicament: insecurity, imbalance and insecurity, with a little humor”
A native of New York, Petersen received his BS from The Pennsylvania State University and an MFA from The College of Fine Arts. He has received numerous awards including the Barnett and Annalee Newman Foundation Grant Award, the MacDowell Fellowship, and the Edward F. Albee Foundation Visual Arts Fellowship Award. His work has been exhibited in the US and abroad and is in several public and private collections, including the Dallas Museum of Art, the Jewish Museum, and the United States Department of State. He is represented by McKenzie Fine Art in the new York.
This exhibition is organized in collaboration with. presents McKenzie Fine Art. It is the 20th on-going program at 527 Madison Avenue that features notable emerging and mid-career artists.
MFA works with art advisor Jay Grimm, 527 Madison Avenue office rentals Mark Boisi and Gordon Hough by Cushman & Wakefield and Hines Property Manager Chris Linvillewhen choosing artists for the program.
