MLK Food Park returns to South Dallas as one-day pop-up event

The MLK Food Park is back, this time as a one-day pop-up event.

The Free Food Park, named “Phase 2,” returns to South Dallas from noon to 4pm Sunday for its second installation. The event, co-sponsored by DRBTS Urban Planning and Fair Park, will feature various locally owned companies this weekend.

The first issue was 1611 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. The Sunday pop-up event will take place just blocks away on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. 2929 instead.

The first edition of MLK Food Park was a month-long initiative organized on behalf of the Real Estate Council, the Better Block Foundation, and the Dallas Catalyst Project. Every weekend from April 9th ​​to May 2nd, the pop-up created a space for the community to meet for food and live entertainment while supporting local businesses.

Many of the salespeople from the first event will be returning this weekend. Here is a list of food and non-food vendors expected to appear:
