Another large mixed-use project is in the works for the popular Oak Cliff Bishop Arts District.
The neighborhood southwest of downtown Dallas has seen widespread revitalization over the past decade with new retail and residential projects.
Now, Dallas-based construction company Alamo Manhattan Corp. a residential and commercial building valued at over $ 43 million to be built on Zang Boulevard and 7th Street.
The planned development would include 208 rental units and 10,000 square feet of retail space on a block now occupied by small commercial buildings, planning documents submitted to the state exhibition.
The architect Hensley Lamkin Rachel Inc. designed the project.
Construction of the residential and commercial building is scheduled to begin early next year.
The mixed-use building stands next to a similar project that Alamo Manhattan completed in 2018.
The developer’s two buildings contain 216 apartments and 25,000 square feet of commercial space on Zang and Davis Streets.
Alamo Manhattan has a track record of apartment and hotel projects in the Dallas Uptown District and Oak Cliff.
