New Jersey company acquires long-time Davidson County telecommunications business

Walker and Associates, a longtime telecommunications company based in the welcome community, was acquired by USTC Corp.

According to a press release, USTC Corp. bought from New Jersey Walker and Associates to further expand their presence and customer base in the United States. The financial terms of the transaction will not be disclosed.

The Walkers founded the telecommunications equipment distribution business in the basement of their house in 1970. Virginia Walker served as CEO from 2000 to 2014. Her daughter became CEO in 2014 when she retired.

Walker and Associates is a US distributor of networking products for more than 1,000 broadband providers including landline, wireless, utility, cable, government and corporate network operators.

Walker’s product range from more than 400 providers supports network operators in the provision of broadband, video, data and voice services for residential, business and 5G cellular subscribers. Walker supplies communication infrastructures such as Fiber-To-The-Home, Fiber Access Architecture, Packet Optical Networking, Fixed Wireless, Carrier Ethernet, Switching, Routing and VoIP to an established base of US network operators.
