Noted Texas personal injury lawyer Thomas J. Henry expands law practice with Irving office

Thomas J. Henry, one of the best-known personal injury attorneys in Texas, is expanding its presence in Dallas-Fort Worth with a new law firm in Irving.

His San Antonio-based company will occupy 27,000 square feet in Irving, Henry said in an announcement on Monday. The office at 6031 Connection Drive is expected to employ up to 200 people within two years.

“The opening of our newest office … marks a new chapter for the company as we expand into North Texas,” said Henry. “We look forward to continuing our aggressive growth pattern and serving even more customers in Texas and beyond.”

Thomas J. Henry Law describes itself as the largest personal injury law firm in Texas with 200 attorneys and 350 employees dedicated to obtaining jury verdicts and settlements for those injured in auto, truck accidents, industrial accidents, and recalled products. It has offices in San Antonio, Corpus Christi, Austin, and Dallas.

The company has won tremendous awards for customers over the past several years, including a $ 1.25 billion judgment in a sexual assault case, $ 50 million judgments, and $ 35 million in cases of wrongful death involving trucking companies and multiple settlements of more than $ 10 million in medical malpractice litigation.

Henry is also known for being flamboyant, including a $ 6 million quinceanera for his model actress daughter Maya, which went viral internet hit when rapper Pitbull and singer Nick Jonas performed. His family’s lifestyle was featured on a reality TV series on YouTube in 2017 entitled “Hangin ‘with Los Henrys”.

The family also sponsored a 2016 Apollo in the Hamptons event at the home of billionaire Ron Perelman, a 2017 Republic Records Grammy after party, and a 2017 Maxim Super Bowl party.

Earlier this year, attorneys representing Henry won a lawsuit for the high profile litigator when a Texas judge sealed records on his divorce case, according to nonprofit news site San Antonio Report. His attorneys cited Henry’s business interests as a reason not to reveal details of the divorce proceedings that had been dismissed.

Henry’s legal team argued that he and Azteca Henry were not married when she filed for divorce in November 2019, which made the case contentious. The Henrys married in Nueces County in 1993 and divorced in 2005. Azteca Henry claimed the couple had a common law marriage, continued to live together after that time, calling each other husband and wife, according to the San Antonio Report.
