Oak Cliff’s NOLA Snoballs is moving to a new location this fall
Oak Cliff’s New Orleans-style Sno-Cone booth will soon have a new home.
Dallas CultureMap reports that NOLA Snoballs is leaving its current location at 345 W. Jefferson Blvd. and will move down a couple of doors at 349 W. Jefferson sometime this fall. NOLA Snoballs has occupied the place since 2017.
“I was there until May 2021, but my lease had expired and someone else wanted the entire space,” owner Maureen Ehrlicher told the publication. “The landlord, Jim Lake, was kind enough to give me another seat two doors down that we finished and now we’re just waiting for the city of Dallas.”
Ehrlicher, a native of New Orleans, started NOLA Snoballs in 2016, according to CultureMap. The shaved ice cream delicacies are made from the in-house sugar syrup and served in various brightly colored flavors. Guests can choose from more than three dozen flavors and decorate them with toppings.
While the Bishop Arts location is temporarily closed, fans can pick up ice-cold goodies at Texas Discovery Gardens in Fair Park from Wednesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., according to the website. NOLA snoballs can also be found at this year’s national fair.
