HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – Today, the people of Huntsville have food in their pantry and refrigerator thanks to a large event hosted by a nonprofit event.
One Generation Away members have partnered with Downtown Huntsville to give away a free fresh grocery giveaway.
The pick up location was Dallas Avenue. The aim of this event is to help children and families in the summer.
One Generation Away is no stranger to this type of event. They have partnered with several organizations in the Tennessee Valley to provide food for those in need.
“So we partnered with downtown Huntsville Inc. with Todd Emerson this summer, bridging the gap for students and families who normally depend on food during the school year but can’t get it,” said One Gen Away Area Manager Daelyn Houser.
