Oprah’s Favorite Things includes beef from smalltown Texas steakhouse Perini Ranch

Oprah Winfrey says you should buy beef tenderloin from the small town of Buffalo Gap, Texas.

Perini Ranch’s mesquite-smoked tenderolin is one of 110 gifts listed as Oprah’s favorite things in 2021.

And you don’t even have to take the road trip to the steakhouse, which is three hours west of Dallas. Perini Ranch fillet is shipped overnight in freezer packs.

Winfrey’s list is sure to give any small business involved a huge boost. The co-owners of the Perini Ranch, Lisa and Tom Perini, have been preparing for the announcement since the summer.

They’ve seen a surge in sales since the announcement of Oprah’s Favorite Things on November 1st.

“It will be exciting to see what happens in the next few weeks when people are planning their vacation dinner,” says Lisa Perini. They wouldn’t say how many beef fillets they want to sell.

The peppered beef tenderloin smoked with mesquite costs about $ 145, or about $ 185 including shipping. It comes in two pieces, cooked medium-rare. Customers should thaw it before serving. It feeds six to eight people as a main course.

Oprah’s Favorite Things advertises Perini Ranch food on its website or on Amazon. That was one of the rules: every company had to be able to sell its goods on Amazon. It worked for the Perini Ranch because the family has already used it to sell cookbooks.

Of the food favors on Oprah’s Favorites, many are spices, hot sauces, jams, and the like. Perini Ranch’s fillet is the only meat product on the list.
