Preston Royal Central Market is back and tastier than ever

Dallas Foodies can finally get back to their lover Central market at 10720 Preston Rd. as the Preston Royal location has reopened after nearly two years of renovation and remodeling.

The grocery store was decimated by the tornadoes that swept north Dallas in October 2019, and the foodie paradise leadership decided to take this opportunity to restore and expand the popular store.

“The best part is the restoration of the beautiful ceiling that matched the design,” says company spokeswoman Mabrie Jackson. “There were some slabs of rock from the time Borders was there and we took all of that down and added some wood planks and restored the wooden beams. We are happy that people are seeing the beautiful architecture.”

In addition to the mid-century modern vibe of the store, there are several handy upgrades, including:

  • A larger fish department that can now hold more than 40 types of fresh fish and shellfish

  • A larger fresh produce department with more organic options

  • A larger sushi department

  • A lively coffee bar with coffee from all over the world

  • Extended seating, also on the mezzanine and outside on the terrace

  • Room for permanent curb and delivery services

Jackson believes the curb and post-pandemic delivery will continue to be just as popular, and now the store will have the space to conveniently take those orders. Designated parking spaces for buyers using these services will also be retained. If you download the app from Central Market, there will be no fees for your first four orders.

The 2019 storms did incredible 15 miles of damage, and Central Market stepped up during that time to help its community.

The Dallas-based company mobilized its food truck to provide hot meals to displaced neighbors and donated $ 1 million to DISD to rebuild its damaged schools and donated 50 trees to help rebuild the canopy that is a hallmark of the area were.

“We’re really Preston Royal Loyal and we’re excited to be able to serve the community with an even better business again,” said Jackson.

The timing coincides perfectly with the July 4th weekend so make sure you stock up on Central Market signatures like the handmade filled burger patties, freshly baked buns, local potato chips and of course the famous Love Dip.
