DELIVERY OF NEW DRIVERS

One focus of this year’s tour is building a solid base of new riders through more Learn To Ride opportunities that will become the next generation of buyers. Nearly half of the Chicago participants surveyed were either budding riders planning to start riding in the next 12 months or new to riding. Moving from IMS to an experiential series of events welcomes a handful of entry points into the world of motorcycling through:

  • Greater opportunity for avid new and interested riders to improve their driving skills through Discover The Ride and MIC’s Ride With Us program, which features hundreds of new riders
  • Participated in the Harley-Davidson Invitation To Ride program for consumers in Texas, Nashville, and central Florida.
  • An expanded electrical footprint with Serial 1 powered by Harley-Davidson and Yamaha Power-Assist electric bikes available touring all over the world and in select markets, Giant and Momentum e-bike courses for all riders and a course specifically for women from Liv
  • A more inclusive kids zone, presented by Strider, that teaches children ages two and up to learn the lifelong skill of cycling

“I loved the chance to ride a Zero motorcycle. My wife learned to ride a motorcycle at the event; she will take part in the MSF in the near future, ”said a delighted IMS visitor.

Another IMS participant shared, “I loved the riding area. The people and the experience were amazing! I ride with my husband but I’ve never ridden alone because I didn’t want to spend $ 300 to take a class and didn’t want to be sure if I like it or not. This crash course made me sign up for a motorcycle course. Thank you very much; what a great experience! “

Harris continued, “We have no plans to return to the indoor event series. Our mission is to help the industry grow, connect enthusiasts with the brands they love, and deliver an experience that is so much more than just looking at new models – and the summer months allow that level of engagement. With so many smiling faces in Northern California, Chicago, and Pennsylvania, we can’t be more excited that Progressive IMS Outdoors is staying here to stay. “
