Property firm cofounded by NBA Hall of Famer David Robinson buys a Plano building

Admiral Capital Group – a New York-based real estate investment firm co-founded by NBA Hall of Famer David Robinson – has made another office purchase in North Texas.

Admiral Capital has been acquiring properties in the Dallas-Fort Worth area since 2019.

The most recent purchase by the investor is an almost 200,000 square meter office campus in Plano.

The Apex building is located at 3033 W. Bush Turnpike near Independence Parkway.

The office center, built in 2007, was sold by a subsidiary of Dallas Champion Partners to the partnership represented by Admiral Capital, according to documents.

The building’s tenants include Samsung SDS, an information technology services subsidiary of the Korea-based company.

Admiral Capital has acquired more than half a million square feet of office space in North Texas.

It sold the six-story Fourteen555 building on Dallas North Tollway a few months ago.

Admiral Capital has acquired more than $ 1.5 billion in real estate since 2008.

The company was founded by Robinson and Daniel Bassichis, formerly Goldman Sachs.

The company’s most recent purchase is just the latest in a growing number of office purchases in North Texas.

Office building sales have slowed since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.
