Red Bull Racing Show Run Roars Into Downtown Dallas’ Harwood District Tomorrow » Dallas Innovates
Downtown Dallas is usually quiet on Saturdays. But not tomorrow – a free Red Bull Racing Show Run will rush through the Harwood District in a four-hour multi-format event.
The event is timed to kickstart the Aramco Formula 1 Grand Prix in Austin on October 24th. It gives North Texans the opportunity to see Formula 1 cars up close in a family-friendly “festival” atmosphere.
The Red Bull Racing Event runs tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It all starts with a booming introduction at PNC Plaza, 3030 Nowitzki Way. At 10:15 am, the first Red Bull Racing Car Run will roll over a 640-meter track which meanders through the Harwood District. Here is a map of the event:

A row of Attractions takes place from then until 2 p.m. Moto stunt rider Aaron Colton; a self-made formula car of the UT Arlington SAE team; and three more Red Bull Racing races.

A must is an exotic car parade at 11am from Dallas-based ParkUpFront, a social network and an event management app platform for the “auto community”. If you love, think and dream about your car, ParkUpFront is specially designed for you:

In 2016, ParkUpFront won CodeLaunch, an annual startup pitch fest hosted by Code Authority. Since then, it has grown into one of the largest automotive communities and platforms for car enthusiasts. With over 50,000 users, over 70,000 event registrations, and $ 4.2 billion in vehicles in the app, users can share and create events, upload their vehicles to their “garage,” and like and comment on other users’ journeys.
Final parade crowns the thing
The day ends with a closing parade from 1:40 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The free event is public. Formula 1 racing cars are VERY LOUD, so you should consider hearing protection, especially for young children.
A food truck will be available as well as nearby restaurants.
Event organizers encourage people to show up early to get hold of selected locations to see the events.
Social distancing / masking concerns
It’s an outdoor event, but it can get a bit crowded. For health reasons, all event participants and employees are required to wear a mask. The organizers of the event strongly recommend that participants also wear masks.
