Angel Trees and Toy Drives take place in Y branches in North Texas
DALLAS, TX (December 7, 2021) – Metropolitan Dallas YMCA will be hosting Angel Trees and toy drives throughout the Christmas season to help needy North Texans have gifts for their families for Christmas. The YMCA is an easy and convenient way to give something back this holiday season. Stores across the Metroplex will participate in these Christmas fundraising drives. Details of the participating branches can be found below.
“When you adopt a family or donate a new toy through the Angel Tree Program, you bring hope to a family,” said Curt Hazelbaker, president and CEO of the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas. “Christmas is a festival. Angel trees and toy drives are one way the YMCA can ensure that partying is possible for everyone. “
Frisco family YMCA: Carrying out a toy campaign in collaboration with the city of Frisco. A donation box will be set up in the lobby of the Frisco YMCA. Additionally, if you would like to donate gifts for families under the Angel Tree, please contact Nikki Golding at ngolding@ymcadallas.org and she will let you know the current needs.
YMCA of the Grand Prairie Family: In partnership with Lifeline, we help families who are homeless or in need. In the week of November 29th, a Christmas tree was set up and gifts for families in need will be collected until mid-December.
JER Chilton YMCA in Rockwall: An angel tree is set up to support families in the Y-for-All program. December gifts are collected.
Lake Highlands YMCA: The angel tree benefits the Y for All program. All unwrapped gifts are due by December 17th.
Moody’s YMCA: Partnership with the City of Highland Park for Marine Corps Toys for Tots. A donation box will be set up in the lobby of the Moody YMCA, in which toys will be collected until December 12th.
Park South Family YMCA: Through the Dallas YMCA Catalyst Initiative, Y staff and volunteers will collect food baskets for the holidays and deliver them to families in need in various communities around the DFW Metroplex. The creation and delivery of the basket will be coordinated on Saturday, December 18 at the South Family Y Park.
YMCA of the Richardson family: The angel tree benefits the Y for All program. All unwrapped gifts are due by December 17th.
Semones Family YMCA (North Dallas): An angel tree will help support the needs of families in the Y for All program, including those in the after-school programs and neighboring residential communities. All unwrapped gifts will be collected by December 11th to be distributed to families by Christmas.
White Rock YMCA: An angel tree benefits the Y for All program. Unwrapped gifts are due by December 14th.
