Salt Bae’s London steakhouse receives poor reviews on Tripadvisor; here’s why
For Salt Bae, a Turkish chef whose real name is Nusret Gokce, the controversies seem endless. Gokce became famous a few years ago for the peculiar way he put salt on food, nicknamed “Salt Bae” by the Internet. The chef has opened a chain of restaurants around the world, with his Nusr-Et Steakhouse in London making headlines for all the wrong reasons for some time.
At first it was The inflated prices of a gourmet restaurantthat internet users had angry. And now it seems they aren’t too impressed with the services either. The place has only received 37 reviews on Tripadvisor, 21 of which were rated “awful”.
One person claimed that they “reserved a table 6 weeks ago with email confirmation from the restaurant”. “Your booking team even called us that morning to confirm the booking. When we got to the restaurant they said they didn’t have our booking and we wouldn’t be let in. They admitted that there was a problem with their booking system and couldn’t be more impolite if they tried, ”they wrote, adding that they“ will never come back ”.
Another person called it the “biggest scam in town” and wrote that the restaurant was “a terribly overpriced load of rubbish”. Someone else claimed that when they recently went to Nusr-Et Steakhouse they only had 30 minutes to finish their meal after receiving it.
A diner at Knightsbridge Restaurant announced that it had an issue with the restaurant’s policy of only allowing customers to sit down for 1 hour and 45 minutes.
“It’s like Ikea, it looks good, but its bad quality (service and food) … I just wanted good food. Don’t follow the hype if you want great food, there are hundreds of better options for great food in London regardless of your price range, ”wrote someone else on his review.
Previously, the Twitterati went nuts after a bill from the restaurant made the rounds on social media. The total on the bill was £ 1,812.40 (rupees 1,81494)!
